Hello all,
I've downloaded the whole root folder of my live Umbraco installation to my local PC and restored a live database backup loaclly too to work on.
I've made changes to content, document types, templates and XSLT macros and that's it.
In the past I've then copied the entire local root folder back up to the server and restored my local database to the live server.
The reason I've done this is because I'm not 100% sure of all the files that get changed during my local modifications and I'd hate to miss something.
I wish I didn't have to do this so could someone advise me which files need to be deployed to live?
I'm guessing the contents of the masterpages and xslt folders but what else?
Where do macros get stored for example?
Regards,
Matt
You would just need to copy the database back up, as well as MasterPages & xslt directory.
Macros, doc types etc. get held in the database.

Thank you a lot Rich.
Knowing this will save me a fair bit of time.
