    SEO problem

    Hi guys,

I have the following web structure.

    Home

    ..Page 1

    ....Page 1 child

    ..Page 2

    Resources

    ..Resource 1

    ....Resoucre 1 Child 1

    ....Resource 1 Child 2

The children in Home use the children in Rescources for variuos things. The Resource folder and it children should never be accessable through a browser.

Is there a best way of avoiding this?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi!

If you never ever creates links to those "hidden" nodes, then I'm pretty sure no one will ever find them, not even the search engines. I know it's not the most secure way of doing this because it's still possible to access the nodes. So, to be more safe you could create a template that you use on all of those nodes. On that template, you could make a redirection to your frontpage or a 404 page or something like that.

This would mean that if anyone in the future somehow got the link to some of those nodes, they would be redirected to your frontpage, a 404 page or even a special made page that you'll use just in those cases.

    Does that make sense?

Cool, great to hear. And as I said you should already be pretty safe if you don't link to any of those pages. But it's always nice to have a plan B, right? :)
