Using the CultivContactForm package; labels are not populating

Using umbraco 4.5.2, I have installed the CultivContactForm package. (0.9.2)

I have followed the instructions for installation, i.e.,

This package will add a documentType, a macro, a template, a CSS file and a content item (all called "CultivContactForm", feel free to rename). These are just created as an example, you can delete the template and content item and the "CultivContactForm" macro to one of your templates to make the contact form show up. Then, create a content item with the documentType "CultivContactForm" and configure your form. All of the configurations can be done in the content item."

The pedant in me wishes to clarify. I believe the developer meant to write; "…content item and ADD the "CultivContactForm" macro to one of your templates to make the contact form show up…"

I see everything as installed. I inserted the relevant macro into the body content for the appropriate document type as per my site's design. On the rendered page, I see the form fields, but the labels and other data, present in the doc type in the root of the server, are missing from the rendered macro.

    What step and I missing?

    Thanks!
    Kyle

Hah! Never mind. Here's the key phrase; "These are just created as an example." OK, so I was missing the document type for the data storage of the label information. I created a Doc Type based on the example, created an accommodating template, and bam! Contact form works!

What? I can't mark my own solution as solved? ;)

    Hi Kyle

Glad that you got it solved. It would be nice if it was possible for one to close one's own posts...but unfortunately it's not possible at the moment.

    /Jan

No worries, Jan, I'm having a great time in the umbraco garden.
