    Member Records Missing

    Hi there

I am working on a site where I have loaded 16 member records.

I am now browsing the member listing in the admin area but can only locate 14 records - there are 2 missing from the list.

I can however a can log in as one of the missing entries.

Also the cmsMember table in the database has 16 records - I haven't crossed checked the other tables where member data is stored.

It is a new site I am setting up using www.softsyshosting.com for the first time.

Can anyone shed light or experienced this before ?

    Thanks

    Nigel

    Hi Nigel,

Can't say I've seen this before, but do the two missing memebers have anything in common ? (do they have spaces at the beginning of their name - wild guess ?)

    Cheers,

    Hendy

    Hi Hendy

Thanks for your lightning fast reply - you replied too quick as I discovered the error of my ways and attempted to delete my post - your response must have pipped me at the post !

Within the user control I had misplaced some code which was clearing the "text" field within the umbracoNode table - this effectively hides a member from the listing.

So by manually re-adding the names all is well. Oh and I have fixed my shinky coding too !

A lesson in testing your own code but also a bit of understanding of how member lists are built in the back end.

    Cheers

    Nigel
