    Image default width (Umbraco 3.x)

    Hi

Still getting to grips with this!

Bearing in mind that I have taken over 3 Umbraco websites running 3.x, and able to devote about 2 hours a week to it......

There seems to be a default width of 500 set for any image inserted larger than 500 in width (smaller ones are fine). I can of course change the width by updating the html, but that a pain!

Any ideas where I would change that default?

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Dave

You're inserting images in the richtext editor? There's a property you can set for the richtext editor datatype "Maximum default size of inserted images", i.e. you edit the data type under developer/data types.

    Regards,
    Magnus

    Hi Magnus

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Yes I am inserting images in the richtext editor!

Sorry to be a noob but I cant see anywhere to add any properties ...

    developer/data types/richtext editor only has :

Navn - with a text box next to it for the title 'Richtext Editor'

Rendercontrol - with a dropdown set to Editor

and in the control panel section

Database datatype - with a dropdown set to Ntext

Any more help would be apreciated

    Cheers

    Dave

I see now your version is 3.x, I think that property is 4+. I don't if/how to change that default in version 3, sorry about that. What width do you have on the editor, maybe it defaults to a maximum of the editor width?

    Regads,
    Magnus

This was not resolved and I've had to drop it for now, if anyone comesup with any bright ideas I'd be grateful.

Otherwise thanks anyway, I'm sure I'll be back.....
