I'm using 4.5.2 and I'm trying to set up some work flow.
I've watched a few videos including this one http://umbraco.org/help-and-support/video-tutorials/getting-started/webmaster-tour which shows after 2:30 minutes the content editor logging in and seeing a Notifications tab with their pending approvals on it.
I've logged in as an Administrator who has pages to approve but I cannot see this tab anywhere.
How do I get it to appear?
Matt,
You need to install package http://our.umbraco.org/projects/developer-tools/notifications-dashboard
Ah thanks, you help me again Ismail.
Yesterday your posts helped me out with Examine.
Do you know if this notifications dashboard package is compatible with 4.5?
it is i am using it with 452. dont forget to mark reply as solution.
Regards
Ismail
Thanks, I sure will.
Hi Ismail,
I noticed you had posted an issue regarding a System.ArgumentException: No User exists with ID -1 error in a package you were using.
http://our.umbraco.org/forum/developers/api-questions/12310-Exception-Details-SystemArgumentException-No-User-exists-with-ID-1
I'me getting the same thing with the notifications package. Do you think the fix would be the same?
Regards,
Matt
Fixed it thanks to Ismail's post.
Downloaded the Notifications package source. Corrected the suggested line and re-compiled the assembly.
Cheers,
I can't get the dashboard to work reliably. It's currently showing pages that don't exist anymore or have already been published.
