Link banner images from english site to other language site

    Hi,

In our current setup we have a 10 multilingual site. If we change anything in our english banner images is it possible to automatically update also the banner images from the other language sites?

    Hi Sherry Ann

Ho are these banners created? And what do you want to change about them? Is it a link, or the image file or what is it?

Banners are uploaded through the media section. If you check our site http://208.75.250.78/default.aspx the banner is the main image slideshow.

It is an image file and sometimes the client needs to change it. It is too cumbersome if we change the banner for all the 10 multilanguage site.

Ahh okay, I guess that you have ten top level nodes then? One for each language right?

When you have to use the same banner/slideshow on each of the ten nodes, I think I would create it some place central in the content tree. Maybe create a node called "Banner", and on this ndoe select the images that should be used in the slideshow. Now on each of the language-nodes you can create a content picker for selecting the banner node. This way you only have to change the slideshow one central place, and the changes will take effect everywhere it's used.

    Does that make sense?
