    Document Type - Field Validation - Custom Regular Expression Error Message

    Hey All,

    When using the validation field in a document type, is it possible to have an error message go with the regular expression provided?  Having something like "[Some Field] at [Some Tab] is not in a correct format" doesn't mean much to the general user.

    Hi,

    Someone else asked about this recently.  I don't believe there's any way to do this without using a custom datatype.

    As a "workaround" I typically try to explain as best I can all the requirements in the Description field (ie "Enter full URL, including http://").

    Probably also worth creating a feature request on Codeplex for this
