Enabeling the styles drop down in the TinyMCE editor, and using macros. SOLVED
I use Umbraco v4RC. But the problem was also present with the pre RC versions i used.
I can't even see the styles drop down in the richtext editor.
I checked the styles dropdown in the Developer / Datatypes / Richtext editor area, and i checked 2 stylesheets that both have properties defined on them.
But the styles drop down is not present in the richtext editor tool bar.
Also, if i click the insert macro button in the toolbar, i get an empty dropdown, and can't select any marcoes.
The styles problem: I have that as well. In pre RC versions it was not implemented. Now it should be implemented, but it doesn't show up in my upgraded RC version. (note the word "upgraded", I probably forgot to change config files)

Hi Mikael,
Are the macros set to "use in richtext editor"?

Cheers,

Nope, just tried that as well in a v4rc non upgraded version, I do get the styles but those styles are not applied to the rte.

I fixed the styles drop down problem.
I "upgraded" to RC by just copying the /bin + /umbraco + /umbraco_client folders over my previous installation.
Copying the tinyMceConfig.config that came with RC to my config folder, and opening and saving web.config solved the problem.
Thanks for answering.
EDIT:
And now the insert macro button also works, i had not checked "use in editor" for the macros -bummer :-)
