    Translation

    Hi guys,

    I have added two language to my site and setup the relevent host names.

    When I send my default page (en) to translation (fr) the translation seems to overwrite the original even though when i visit fr.local the dates etc change :S

    Am I understanding the translation cycle properly?

    Hi Scott

    Can you explain the issue in a bit more detailed? I'm not quite sure I'm getting the issue 100%...

    Also...when you say you have setup the relevant host names...does that mean both in IIS and in Umbraco? Or just IIS?

    Hi Jan,

    In IIS I have setup fr.domain.com and domain.com.

    I have added the hostnames to the root of my umbraco site and set the cultures accordingly i.e. fr.domain.com = french, domain.com = english.

    When I then send a text page for translation for french everything seems to work however it overwrites the English version too.

    Does this make sense?
