frequent app pool recycling or am I misreading the log?

I'm looking to cooraborate a conversation I'm having with my web host about the app pool. They are a shared hosted account, and here's a small slice from my umbracoLog regarding recycling:

Is "Application started" the same as an app pool recycle?

    Thanks!

I think so. If you recycle the app pool in IIS, then that message is written to the log for the first user who accesses the site after the app pool restart.

So does this explanation for such frequent messages on a hosted server accurate or possible?

Please keep in mind that the PID's of the app pools are going to be different on the application servers (of which are loadbalanced and there are 4). Umbraco probably sees that the process identification number of the active site is changing between the application servers. The PID will change every time the application recycles, but I cannot find any indication that it would be restarting outside of the 300 minute mark as it's only using about 30mb per application server instead of the maximum of 150mb per application server.
