Error 404 while inserting link to media in Rich Text Editor

    Hello everyone,

Recently I met the following issue:

When I try to insert a link to an uploaded PDF document in the rich text editor, the error 404 is displayed in the pop-up window.

By the way, the document I'm trying to insert the link to, is marked grey, not black, so looks like it is not published, but it cannot be published at all, just can be saved.

Could anyone please tell me whether this issue can be solved?

    Thanks in advance,

    Andrei

Are you using a specific media type to store your pdfs? It may be that the insert link dialog isn't configured to allow for selecting that specific kind of media.

(And btw, you can't publish media items, they can only be saved)

    Cheers,

    /Dirk

Actually, I use a "file" type for my uploaded PDF. I also created a folder (of type "Folder") to store PDF files.

    Thanks,

    Andrei

@Dirk De Grave how/where do you configure the dialog to "allow for selecting that specific kind of media."? thanks

@Andrei - did you find a fix for the media items being "marked grey"? thanks
