I am using umbraco 452 and have a user of type editor. I set the permissions then click save it prompts are you sure message, i click ok and it saves and pops up message to say saved permissions. when i click on user and look at permissions they are not there i.e. they are not being saved. I dont have anything in the error log any ideas?
Do you know if any of the actions/procedures associated with the actions are firing, I presume not if it is across all users, was this a new install, or a copy, becuase mahybe the SP/or another structure you need to write to hasn't got teh dtabase relevent permissions?
i.e. The atcion is firing but not actually happening because something else isn't actioning, and we have no graceful exito or silent exit that doesn't tell us why
k sorted. instead of setting the permissions from users i did it directly in the content tree so for said user took of permissions for all top root nodes bar one. it works.

Does the smae thing happen for other users and other user types?
I just tried this in 4.6.1 and you don't get the initial "are you sure" message. It just goes straight to "User saved".
No chance you can upgrade?
ravi,
same for all users. Neil my need to upgrade but will see if i can find a fix.

woohoo
That's odd, did you check the perms settings for users to see why the issue was occurring?
