Understanding current protection settings on a page using Umbraco Console

    Hi there,

Wondering if it's possible to view / understand current protection (public access) settings applied to a page using Umbraco Console. Apparently there doesn't seem to be a way to do so. I tried Umbraco Console->Contents->

    Sameer,

Which version of umbraco are you using? I have v4 with a protected page and when i view public access i can see the groups that have been allowed access.

Interesting, I’m using v4 too. Let me recheck if I'm doing something wrong.

Okay, I got it - I was actually trying to view the protection settings of a child node of the document to which I have originally applied protection. Now that confuses me even further :(, as I can see a protection icon (the red circular mark) on the child node and apparently the page inherits same protection level as of its parent then why doesn't it show so in public access?

    Sameer,

Take a look on codeplex if it has been raised as a bug if not then create an issue. Looks like a bug to me!

    Ismial,
Thanks a lot for your prompt responses. I raised an issue for this. http://umbraco.codeplex.com/WorkItem/View.aspx?WorkItemId=21898
