I'm trying to put together a basic workflow of a content writer and editor. I've got a writer setup with restricted access to the content section, but how do I restrict their access to only one child (and corresponding sub-children) within the content section. For example, we have a Knowledgebase section that will have multiple articles. How would I restrict the user to just that section? I tried to edit user permissions and check only that box but they still seem to have access to everything in the content section.
Also, how can the editor see who completed what changes and what changes they have to approve?
Thanks for the reply. I did set it, but now I'm noticing it's not saving. I can set the "Start Node in Content" to Knowledgebase, hit save, click another user, come back and it's back to Content. How do I fix that?

Hi Chris
Have you set the start node in the content channel on the user?

Hi Jan,
Thanks for the reply. I did set it, but now I'm noticing it's not saving. I can set the "Start Node in Content" to Knowledgebase, hit save, click another user, come back and it's back to Content. How do I fix that?
Any ideas on this?
Hi Chris
Sorry for the late answer
What version of Umbraco are you using?
/Jan
Hi Jan,
umbraco v 4.7.0 (Assembly version: 1.0.4090.38017)
I did a fresh install and it seems to be working OK now. Not sure what caused the problem. Thanks!
