    User section form v3.0.3 to v4.0.1

    hi

    I need some halp .. I would like to upgrade my Umbraco ver 3.0.3 to ver 4.0.1 but I need only user section to be upgrade..

    How can I do with lest pain ?

    The way to do it with the least pain is to upgrade the entire Umbraco install.

    With the Umbraco v4.x release there was a complete change to the user (and member) modules. Rather than using a custom authentication model it now uses an extended version of the ASP.NET MembershipProvider class.

    Maybe it'd help if you explain what feature(s) you're wanting which is in v4.0.1 and maybe someone could give you some points on whether it's possible to achieve with the v3.x install.
