This is probably so simple you will all laugh, but...

My client wants to have a structured content tree in the back end but have all the pages available under the homepage (for seo reasons).

ie 

\resorts\courchevel

\chalets\courchevel\chalet-jay

\chalets\morzine

are available as

\courchevel

\courchevel-chalet-jay

\morzine-chalet-jay

Does anyone have any ideas, has anyone done it before and also, does anyone have any strong feelings about whether the search engines really do prefer shallow links like this?
