Our site is currently built in MCMS 2002, we make use of the connected page feature in the system. We have a number of sites that use either connected pages within the site or connected pages between sites.
The way connected pages work in MCMS is, any content editor can choose to create a connected page from any existing page on a site. They then choose the destination whether it's on the same site or another site hosted within the MCMS application. Now when content is updated on either site for that page, the other page that it is connected to get's updated.
We use this functionality alot on our sites, and it's kind of holding us back from switching, but at the same time we're limited in other things that we cannot do.
My question is can Umbraco handle this kind of content reuse?
I've been reading some of the posts on this forum, and it seems that it's not a straightforward process that any content editor can do, but more what a developer such as myself would have to do. I'll be installing Umbraco in a development enviroment so I can start working with the system to see what else it can or cannot do.
