    adding styles to richtext editor not working

    I've tried to add a style to the richtext editor by following the guide on our.umbraco. i can see the style i want to use in the drop down but when i highlight some text and select the style from the drop down it doesnt seem to actually apply it! any ideas? i would really appreciate any help.

    ive just tried doing it in ie, when i apply the style to the text it causes a javascript error:

    Im really stuck with this, can nobody help????

    if i go to the url in the error message in ie i get this:

    A name was started with an invalid character. Error processing resource 'http://mos.mos-digital.com/umbraco/plugins/t...

    Apart from the fact that I would not create a separate stylesheet just for the styles, those instructions look fine!

    Can you post the "styles" stylesheet here, but copy the content by opening the stylesheet directly, not via Umbraco.

    right, its seems to have fixed itself, or i fixed it accidently. i changed to the older version of tinymce in the datatypes menu which caused umbraco to display an error... then i realised my whole site had lost the content from every richtect editor on the site, so i shat myself and luckly had a db backup. restored it  and republished the site, created the style sheet from scratch using the same instructions and now its saving! ill carry on trying to find the difference that caused the error.

    Just to add to this. i accidently replicated this porblem when the alias of my style didnt have a css class decloration ie:

    when the alias was: blueclass

    i got the error

    i changed it to : .blueclass to fix it. (added the .)
