    Best blog Package?

    Hi all.

    I'm looking to install a blog package on a 4.5.1 build. What's the best in terms of stability? I've used blog4umbraco before but I'm hearing more about blog4umbraco 4. 

    I'm not looking for anything fancy, but the ability to moderate comments before they appear on the site would be a bonus.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi Shaun,

     

    I have used the Blog4Umbraco package a number of times and find it really easy to use and pretty stable.

    Blog4Umbraco is great - although needs a few bug fixes in the XSLT to get it working with 4.7

    It's really easy to customise too - we've used it as a base for a slightly more extensive blog engine.

    Or you could alway bolt on Wordpress, or even wait a little while - I've heard there might be a new Blog package coming out soon (for v5 I think) - not sure on this though.

    you can also use uBlogsy http://our.umbraco.org/projects/starter-kits/ublogsy although its for 4.7 and above

    Thanks for your replies!

    I'm looking into uBlogsy at the moment, but it's good to hear that there's only a few tweaks required to get blog4umbraco running in 4.7
