    umb.ico does not shows as favicon in other browser except IE9

    UI Questions

    Hi to All,

    I am using Umbraco v4.7, As the blog title describes umb.ico file is not rendered as favicon in other browser except IE9. Is this the bug of v4.7 or what?

    I could see the umb.ico does exist in location /umbraco/images/pinnedIcons/

    Hi praveity

    I'd suggest that you change the name of your favicon to favicon.ico and plave it in the rrot of your website. Then there should be no problems. If you have the permissions to so of course.

    Hi Kim,

    I am not talking about the site itself, its about the Umbraco Backend. Actually I had a look on the source code of umbraco and found a function called AddIE9Meta()

    which shows the umb.ico from the location /umbraco/images/pinnedIcons/.
