How can I work with neutral cultures in Languages?

I wanted to add a neutral culture, so just English, not English (United Kingdom) or English (Ireland), but I found out I can add that as a language. Only specific cultures.

When I first add English (united Kingdom) it seems that I can then change it to English: select node, in the Edit Language tab select English, click save button...

...result is disappointing: tab name is changed to [editLanguage], label in front of select has disappeared, node is NOT renamed even after reloading. Clicking the node again and nothing is changed :-(

    How should it work?

I'm afraid Umbraco currently has no support for a neutral English culture, what is the specific reason that you need this? Is there no way you could just use UK and be done with it? I'm not sure I understand why neutral would be better.

    Ok, I understand. Thanks!

I just thought neutral would be more logical and I am just discovering the feature and trying to figure out how it works :-)

It does seem like there's a bug in the UI, so I have posted two tickets on Codeplex:
