    Default 'Document Type' for new documents?

    How do I set a default Document Type when creating a new document?

    eg. in this dialog below, I want the default selected Document Type to be always Text Page instead of Downloadable File

    Unfortunately it's not currently possible.  There is a workitem on codeplex for it, please vote it up! I'm surprised it has so few votes as I know I've heard this request a lot.... http://umbraco.codeplex.com/workitem/26632

    You might be able to get away with prefixing the names with 1) 2) etc if that is an option.  If I recall there is no (great) way to do it through code either.
