I have a umbraco install 4.0.4.2 and it is tied in to active directory, which I use to authenticate internal users to update the content in the site.
I'd like to add certain section in the website that requires authentication for outside users. Is there a way to add open ldap for internet users in addition to the active directory? How do I get to do this?
I'm using active directory for internal authentication. It's the standard procedure, I believe there is a documentation and samples already. You can look up on that one.

I'm interested in your internal authentication set-up. Would you mind explaining how you set this up? Thanks!
