Is there a bug in umbraco when trying to setup a multiple domain in one umbraco installation?
I try to set this up
www.website1.com -> set hostname to www.website1.com and language to english
www.website1.com/ru set hostname to www.website1.com and language to russian
www.website1.com/ar set hostname to www.website1.com and language to arabic
www.website2.com -> set hostname to www.website1.com and language to english
www.website2.com/ru set hostname to www.website2.com and language to russian
www.website2.com/ar set hostname to www.website2.com and language to arabic
it is going to the correct page but the dictionary items is not working. It seems that it is getting the culture that is set on the parent node.
Anybody encounter this? Please help. I'm really stuck
Sherry Ann,
Are you sure about this? Don't think you can have multiple host names with same name... (so, you can only have one www.website1.com as hostname)
However, you can create *dummy* hostnames for each of the languages and it will still work... so:
-Assign ru as hostname (language=russian) for your node www.website1.com/ru
-Perform same step for each of the different top level language nodes.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
/Dirk
but the hostname is actually different one is www.florahospitality.com (website1) and the other one is www.florahotelsindia.com (website2)
Structure is same like this http://umbraco.codeplex.com/workitem/23342?ProjectName=umbraco
It says that it is already fixed in juno but it is not working on my 4.7 installation.
is working on a reply...
