Is this possible: multilingual site, default on .com, other languages under .com/nl or .com/de
I am completely lost in the combination of configurations and settings that impact URLs and routing in Umbraco CMS. I can see little logic in the way it works, and most importantly, I cannot get it to work the way I would like it to work.
I need to support multiple sites, each with its own language, the .com domain should use the first root node in the CMS with the en-us locale. The .nl and .de domains should use secondary root nodes, but the request should be redirected to .com/nl and .com/de respectively.
So is there anybody here that has this setup working? Should I just forget about hostnames, use redirects and an HTTP module to set the locale by inspecting the first part of the URL?
Or is there a simpler way using the myriad of configuration and setings available in Umbraco CMS?
