    Contour

    Hi

Just thinking about purchasing contour... Is it a one domain purchase ie you can only use it on one URL?

How do I go about using it on my test server then transfering it to my client server?

    Thanks

    Hey Lee,

You can use it on localhost without a license, once purchased you can use it on any sub domain, for example:

    test.YourDomain.com

    www.YourDomain.com

    staging.YourDomain.com

    Thanks Rich

I am restricted to one domain?

So I can't do the following:

    Run it on

    www.mytest.co.uk

Then when ready to go live, run it on

    www.myclient.co.uk

    ??

As far as I know, you would have to buy twice to do the above, you can always drop them Umbraco a mail and explain your situation and see if you can change afterwards.

I think you can run Contour on two DEV domains and one production domain.

From what I've seen of Contour (via Warren's TV series guide), it seems pretty good.  However, I bought Contour, installed it on my DEV machine (using localhost as the domain), packaged it up (again following WB's guide) ok and deployed to another umbraco test website (on my machine)...

Basically, I want to (all locally)

    a) develop and test on site A

    b) deploy onto another clean site B...

    c) and eventually deploy on a live site C.

So far, I'm having problems deploying the TV series guide on B (MacroEngine script(file: ) errors) and that's even before I can start to think about importing the two contact forms from the demo...

    :(

    Sai.
