I want to manually add Robots.txt and SiteMap.xml to my site node. If I add them manually will they get overwritten and any point. I've seen some packages to add them but I'm a bit unsure about them. Is there a recommended Umbraco approach. Cheers, Chris.
I used to use http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ to create my sitemaps but its not dynamic and with the Umbraco clients can create new pages so best using one of the packages to do that for you.
There is an xml site map that comes with the Warren Buckly's excellent Creative Website Starter (CWS) which you can use for any site with a little tweaking.
I think i've also used the following packge for a site too...
