    make sure you do not have templates with the same alias

    Hi I've inherited an Umbraco site and the first thing I've tried to do is save a change to the master page and I get the error "make sure you do not have templates with the same alias". I've looked in the database cmsTemplate page and assigned permissions the ASPnet Group to the masterpages folder. Are there any other options. Cheers, Chris.

    Hi Chris

    I suppose you tried editing the template inside Umbraco itself?

    You should be able to edit the masper pages outside of Umbraco using an editor like visual studio for instance.
