    TinyMCE version in Umbraco

what is the upgrade policy for TinyMCE in umbraco. TinyMCE is now version 3.4.8 but the version in Umbraco 4.7.1.1 is only 3.4. So it looks like umbraco is 8 minor revisions behind?

Umbraco does some custom stuff with TinyMCE so it doesn't always upgrade it. Also might have some problems with compatible packages (last time they upgraded to the lastest jQuery there where some problems with packages too). Does it have some features you're missing? You can always try a manuall update.

thanks, the question was in regards to a standard "paste" button that thats not a RTE limitation but rather a browser one.

re: TinyMCE versioning in umbraco - i was just after a general understanding. thanks for the info.

When (in what version) was Umbraco  updated to TinyMCE 3.4?

What is the "manual update feature" and is it safe?

Is it possible to install some or all of the plugins shown below  (those features not in the standard TinyMCE package)?
