I have had a response from Umbraco that they are going to fix it soon in an upcoming nightly build....I have tried the latest builds and it doesn't seem to be fixed yet. I have just made the decision to switch to Chrome in the meantime if that allows me to keep developing the website I am working on.

Hi,
I also get this error, but only in IE 9 not in Chrome.
Anyone found a solution?
Thanks!
Curses! I'm seeing the same problem in IE9. It's working in Firefox 10.
