    CMS UI very slow, takes several seconds to load page content

    UI Questions

    We are running umbraco 4.7 on Windows Server 2008 R2 / SQL Server 2008 EE.

    Logging in is fast, but it takes 20 to 40 seconds to see anything after clicking on a node, expanding it, opening a css file, whatever.

    Any thoughts? I've read many posts related (in fact, from the "Similar topics" column on the right, nice!).

    On the other hand, the site runs smoothly, only the CMS seems to have this problem and the web content editors are complaining a lot...
