    I am facing problem of � character in Rich text editor

    Hi All,

    I am new in umbraco. I am using Rich Text Editor as a property. When I press "Enter" key I am getting '�' character on screen.

    can anybody help me?

    Hi,

    check your umbracoSettings.config file (in config folder). Look for the line:

    <TidyCharEncoding>UTF8</TidyCharEncoding>

    It should be UTF8 there, if not, make the change, save the file. Just to make sure, open the web.config, add a space somewhere and save it. (to force an application restart)

    Now, if you edit a page, the weird characters should not come back.
