    edit in canvas question

    Hello,

I like the possibility for my end users to edit the pages in the canvas but the problem is that it seems you can only edit the properties that are in te template! does anyone know a way to also edit the other properties of the documenttype inline?

    thanks Bart

    Bart,

Only items that are placed on the template using <umbraco:Item .../> can be edited using canvas. If you wish to alter other props, you'll have to put them on a template!

    Cheers,

    /Dirk

    Hi Dirk,

I thought it would be something like that :-(
Is there a way to put the properties in the template but don't display them in the page? In SharePoint for instance you can add some properties to a hidden control that is only visible when you are in edit mode. this would be great for metadata properties or the umbracoNaviHide!

    cheers Bart
