want to set up umbraco to populate certain areas of my site
I am very new to Umbraco so forgive if the relevancy of this is poor to the CMS.
I have an existing site, I would like the CMS to control areas of it. It is an eCommerce site, so for example I would like the CMS to control banners, certain areas of the master page and some full pages eg FAQ. My site is built on MVC4.
My questions are, is it possible to read in certain content blocks from the Umbraco database based on meta tags supplied to it eg. the users language, type etc?
Umbraco would reside in a seperate site where the CMS content is created and managed and read in the front end site.
What is the best approach to what I outlined above. Any help would be great.
