For a website, which uses umbraco v 4.5.2, my client has noticed that the sorting doesn't work anymore. You can still choose "sort" in the menu and you still get the sorting window to re-order the nodes, but when you click "Save", nothing is changed when reloading the nodes in the backend of umbraco.
What could be the cause of this problem and how can it be solved?
Have you tried opening up a browser console and see if any error messages are shown when using the sort option on the specific site? It could perhaps be a permissions issue for instance.
Do you know if it's something that has never been working on that installation or if it has just happened?
Does it happen in all browsers? Has there been made any modifications to the installation at some point recently? Has there been any work on the server? (Not that I think it has any influence but sometimes it's the most odd things that causes stuff :)).

It happens in all browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome). No modifications have been made recently / neither work on the server.
