    web site project import

    hi

    colleague of mine created a web site in umbraco. so, when you open site in web matrix there is a 'site admin' button which enables you to manage the site. site is created in 'C:\Users\userName\Documents\My Web Sites' by default. so, i copied these files from my colleague's comp to mine and tried to open it. i can open it in web matrix but there's no 'site admin button' so i can manage this site because i should continue his work.

    so, please, what do i have to do to open or is there a way to import this site in web matrix with 'site admin' button displayed?

    Hi Pacoss

    There is only sometimes this button in WebMatrix, I did have one then it disappeared.

    In top left  corner of WebMatrix press run, you can usually select a browser that you have installed by the small arrow at the bottom of the run button, if not it will open automatically in Internet Explorer.

    Once the site runs, add /umbraco/ to the url (http:\\localhostXXXX) and it will open the umbraco log-in page, enter username and password and you should see the umbraco admin section.
