Hi, I'm working with Umbraco 3 on a website and I've had a lot of problems. The CMS is very unstable and I get Parse Errors very easely. The Parse Error often (if not always/only) appear when I remove pages/menu items. My host support have helped me to restore the site after the errors using backup that runs every night and then change some date/time references in order to make it work without errors.
However, now strange things have started to happen. For example, I was deleting Press Release links on a page, then made some other changes that triggered parse error. When restoring, the links are back on the page as they should, but in the CMS (control panel), the links are gone. This has happened to three or four things on my site now and the problem, obviously, is that I have stuff on my site that I dont want there and that I cant delete them since they are not visable in the control panel.
- Have you seen this before? - How do I get the items back into the CP so that it actually represents tha sites actual content? - If this is not possible, can I remove these things manually in the code somewhere?
- Will it help me to update the CMS? - If yes, is it easy to update or will there be many configurations to be made?
Things disappear in the CMS

Hi Fredrik,
If you have a backup of the website why not make an upgrade to one of the latest version v4.9 or v4.11.1 ?
is working on a reply...
