    GB Umbraco showing Portuguese Language

    Odd problem this.

I am testing a new cloud server company called Luna Cloud. I have a Windows Server in English (had to change the locales etc) which works great, however the date and time stamps and login boxes are now showiing in Portuguese.

I have changed everyting to UK and rebooted.

In IIS Set UI culture to English

    Didn't help

    Must be an Umbraco Setting?

    Any ideas?

have you tried the setting tab, the is a Languages Node in there that specifies the language.  That might be the problem.  :)  Charlie :)

    Shows UK and US

Its like its getting the value from the OS (which was set incorrectly)

Is there anywhere else the locale is configured?

    hi Streety

thought i might try to help with this one as i speak portuguese.

Firstly one of the founders is portuguese, the main office is central london, but would suggest fhe servers are housed in Portugal as it is probably a tad cheaper than london.

To this end, i would suggest that there is where the solution to the problem lies, its a strange one but as lisbon is on GMT, same as london, it may need a tweak on that to display in english rather than portuguese. Both settings are gmt +0.00

hope this helps, if i can do anymore please let.me know.

    best regards and boa sorte

This doesn't make a much sense to me.

I developed and Umbraco site in English hosted on a server in England which has been up and running for 3 years.

I move to a Portugese hosting facility and now the base language has changed to Portuguese.

    Doh!

Are there locale files in Umbraco?

    Something has screwed up.

    Problem fixed.

It was nothing to do with Umbraco.

The locales in IIS were incorrectly set to Portuguese which I had done but didn't flush the APP_POOL.

    Showing as English now.

    DOH on me.

    Thanks for the responses.
