When I create a rich text editor field in a Document Type, it shows up in the Content tab with no label. Eg., on the Home Page, the Site Name field says, "Site Name" next to it, the Headline field says "Headline" next to it, etc.-- but with any new field I create, only the editor field shows up but with no text next to it. This install is right out of the box! Has anyone seen this before?
Hi Garrett, that is the default behaviour, you can enable the field label for the richtext data types from the data types tree in the developer section (as well as configuring a number of other useful bits & pieces).
I suspect the reason the label isn't shown by default is that the richtext toolbar sits at the top of the tab no matter where it appears, so they work best on their own on a tab.
No Label for Rich Text Editor Fields in CMS
Hi,

Thanks,

This is the default setup.
To change go to Developer - Data Types - RichText Editor and then check 'Show Label'
