I have noticed that the toolbar items for the RichText editor are sometimes slow to appear (if they appear at all) in IE8. There are many times when I have to actually refressh the page in order to get items like "insert symbol" to appear. The leftmost items "save" "publish" etc are never affected. Sometimes clicking the toolbar scroll arrow on the right hand side of the screen helps to populuate the items, other times a refresh is needed.
Yes i have that problem too. I have unfortunately not found a solution to it yet. I'm using Firefox most of the time, but the IE8 problem is haunting one of my clients.
