    Narrowcasting using Umbraco

    Has anyone experiance with Narrowcasting using Umbraco?

    Having just read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narrowcasting... It seems narrow casting is a methodology rather than a specific technical requirement.

    What type of marketing task/objective are you trying acheive?

    The basic idea is to show diferent kinds of information on screens on a university campus.

    No specs at this point. but I imagene that they need to create a playlist for each screen.
    After that there needs to be some kind of player on the screen which shows the correct content specified in the playlist.

    I've done this before with Silverlight as the display medium as it displays well on touchscreens/large screens and support advanced/rich visual features easily

    We always use Umbraco as the content data source and pull the data into Silverlight as XML.

    I've also suggested silverlight, it works like a charm with webservices.

    Thanks for your time, I now know that it can be done.
    now we just wait for the client to choose.
