"the resource not found" error when clicking items in settings section (for all items like doc type,template,etc.,)how to solve this problem in umbraco 4.7.1.1?
Have you had a look in the umbracoLog table in the database to see if that provides some usefull information? What happens if you look in the browser console when browsing the settings section? Have you installed some new packages recently? Or has there been done some custom interaction using the API?
Has the installation been running for a long time, or is it a fresh install? This is perhaps related to permissions not beeing set properly but try to see if you can give us some more information. Then it will be a bit easier to help you out.
Ok, have you had a look at the things I suggested above as well? Could you perhaps post the whole error with the stacktrace? That might give some people at hint about what could be wrong.
Something must have happened on the server that is the cause of this.
Ok, what are the server specs? What version of IIS has been used?
I would also appreciate it if you could give some more detailed feedback on some of my previous questions. It's not easy to help you out when you're giving such short answers and not giving feedback on the other questions :)
i did not checked umbracoLog "table" .how to check this?
when i try to open the doc type it is showing the above error in each doc type and also remaining parts of settings section.it is running from 1 year.i have full permissions even it is showing error.

it is old not a fresh one.every doc type and template showing this error
