How are you planning to make your animations? And what is it that you're wondering what Umbraco supports? If you're doing CSS3 animations, Canvas, flash animations or gif animations it will all work (Keep in mind that flash requires a 3rd party browser plugin to work though, but that's nothing to do with Umbraco) since it would also work in a static flat html page.
Umbraco stores your content and you can fetch the content and wrap it in any html, canvas, svg or whatever you fancy format. There are no limitations on the output that can be generated roughly speaking.
