Visual WebGUI for the Umbraco Backoffice UI?

Calling all Umbracoids or Umbracians (what do we call ourselves!),

Anyway.. let me get on with it!

I am only 1 month old as far as being and adapter to Umbraco, but I have learned quite a bit in that time.  I feel now that I can begin to contribute to the forums.

I know that the team is working on major improvements to the Umbraco backoffice UI (i.e. treeview for one).
I just wanted to add my 2 cents to the topic by giving a possible replacement UI idea to the entire back office interface.

    Background Story

For the past year at my previous job (this will remain unnamed to protect the guilty) I was involved in a major project that I was not able to see to completion (I did mention previous job.. uh .. yeah).  This mentioned project used a new AJAX framework, that some of you might have heard of, called Visual WebGui from an Israeli company called Gizmox.

    The Meat

The UI is amazing and works in all known webbrowsers.  You should check out the demo app; it's the reason I had decided on the platform for the project (and by reading the many, many reviews).  The framework allows non-web developers (or winform developers) to build web applications using a WinForms development environment.  No more worries about session and state.

The web applications runs on the server and is "projected" into the clients browsers (no client overhead).  They call this "Empty Client" technology.

There is no installation on the client side, but they get a full Windows application experience.  The best part is that it's open-source (with a commercial license available for a mere $1500).  I personally use the it for projects and have had nothing but positive feedback.

I welcome anyone who would like to chime in on this idea as the new backoffice UI for Umbraco.  I look forward to this topic being discussed further.

Someone let me know if I should move this topic to another area.
