I've been going crazy trying to figure this out. I have inherited an Umbraco site and need to make a change to the subdomin that the web site is using. It has been setup as a multilingual web site. The two subdomains that is uses are http://en.*** and http://es.***. If an indiviual browses to http://www.* the site loads in English and then links go to http://en.***.
I have a requirement to get rid of "en." and replace it with "www." to allow for search engine optimization.
However, I can not figure out how the subdomain is being set. I've gone through all the config, xslt and scripting files trying to find anything that makes sense. I've checked for URL rewrites but I can't find anything there either.
I can load up Umbraco under the www. address and see that the documents show a Link to Document setting that matches to en. This makes me believe that there has to be a setting somewhere.
I can manually change the URL once navigating to en. to www. and then the www. appears to stick everywhere but the main header. This main header comes from an xslt file but it doesn't seem to contain anything that I can identify is setting it to the other subdomain.
Help with changing domain name/Link to document

Thanks!
How do you have it configured?
Do you have multiple domains showing when you right click on the home node (manage hostnames).
This is where you typically configure your domains and language sets.
Thank you!
I didn't realize it was that simple. That appears to be what I need.
I made the change but the Link to document is still using the old url even though it isn't under the host names anymore. The new URL shows as an alt.
Is there a way to get that to refresh?
I fixed it. I had to republish the node where I made the hostname change.
is working on a reply...
