Hi - does anyone know if there is way to unpublish media files, like you can with content nodes?
I have tried deleting them so they move to the recycle bin, however the files are still published and can be accessed directly in the Search Engine Result pages - the path to them remains the same.
I basically need to take a bunch of files offline for a period of time, but will need to potentially re-publish them in the future, so I do not want to 'remove file' permanently.
Ideally, I would be able to unpublish the parent folder and the child media nodes inherit this change.
Unlike content you can't unpublish media. The media is always available so it's like always published. If you want to hide media you can try the Media protect package. It allows you to restrict media so other people can't access it.
How can you un-publish media files?

Hello,
