Ok but in anycase it should be the same thing. I will let you know what i came up to. I tried changing this annoying localhost:43030 to something else but just cant get it working either so instead but making use of SQL Express with IIS.
If you just want to continue using a SQL CE database, then you should just upload all the files from your umbraco folder, to the new domain by using a FTP client, like FileZilla.
After the upload is finished, you should be able to visit the new domain, and you site should be running.
That was what Ihopedwould happen, but I can notdownload the file: Umbraco.sdffolderApp_Data. Therefore I can notupload the file tothe new domain. It'sa little strange, right?
@Denis. Am doing the same exact thing but do i have to go through all the installation process again ? and i cant change the domain name in SQL CE with WebMatrix. Atm i have http://localhost:32441/ .
Okay I have experienced it before, is becourse the IIS locks files when it´s running. The way I solved it was by stopping the site and the app pool for the site in the IIS manager, Then you should be able to transfer your site to the new domain by FTP.
Or yo could do a stop for the hole IIS, but it will of course have effect on other sites if you have more sites running on the same machine.
I had some problems after I uploaded all the files to the new domain. I got an error and some of the script files was not show correctly on the website. I asked Dennis what could be wrong. And he told me to delete the files in the folder App_Data/TEMP and now it works :-)
