Developer Section Missing in Umbraco 4

I'm trying to edit Macros, but I can't see the Developer Section at the backend at all. Why is that and how do I fix it?

Betty, I also see that the Users section is missing above. Do you know if permissions on your account have been modified or is this something you usually had access to?

I have no idea. I probably didn't. I've asked my superior if there was an alternative account but she said no. How can I go about this?

    Hi Betty,

You have to get in contact with your superior or the one who has an user with the administrator rights, he or she can give you access to the developer section.

Well, since you cannot navigate to the 'Users' section of the back office it is hard to tell what your permissions are set as. I would recommend trying to manually change the URL--if you do not have access, you shouldn't get any the content of the developer section.

Try logging in and then changing your browsers URL to:

    http://www.YOURDOMAIN.com/umbraco/#developer

*Be sure to replace YOURDOMAIN with your site. If that doesn't come up my best guess is your account's permissions have been changed.

I suspected that. Thank you everyone for your help!
