    Treenode Refresh (Possible Bug)

    Hi All,

Developing my first Umbroca site using version 7 (razor templates).  Things have been going pretty well so far, but I'm running into a strange issue in the backoffice area.  Basically, I want to restrict certain users to only accessing a certain document and its children in the treenode.  The setup seems to work well, but whenever I click on an item in the Treenode the backoffice page refreshes and the user looses their currently expanded items.  Not a huge issue, but pretty annoying in my opinion.  I check my chrome console and didn't have any javascript errors.  Anybody have any idea what's going on here or should I open a bug report on the tracker?  Please let me know if there is anything else I can include to help.

Hi Nathan and welcome to our! :)

It's good to hear you're enjoying yourself with developing in Umbraco.

I would suggest you check the issue tracker at http://issues.umbraco.org/issues to see if others have created an issue for this. If so add your comments if you can provide more details that can help figure out how the bug could be fixed and vote for the reported issue.

Otherwise please create the bug report so others can go and vote it up if they encounter the same issue. If you have the skills you could perhaps even contribute a core fix and make a pull request? :)

    Hope this helps.

    /Jan

    Hi Jan,

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you! I searched through the tracker and couldn't find any similar issues so I've added an issue to the bug tracker here.  Thanks for your suggestions.

    Hi Nathan

Perhaps your issue can be fixed now by upgrading to 7.1.2? I suppose the installation you're seeing the issue on is 7.0.x ?

    Cheers, Jan

    Hi Jan,

Unfortunately upgrading is not really an option in this my current situation.  Also, it looks like some updates have been made to the bug report that indicate that this affects 7.1.2.  Thank you for the suggestion though.

    Thanks,

    nathan

    Hi Nathan

    How about 7.1.4 then? :)

    Hi Jan,

I'm not sure about 7.1.4?  It doesn't look like it's listed on the bug report so maybe it's been fixed?  Unfortunately I can't really upgrade the site to the newer version at this point but when I get a chance I'll download 7.1.4 and see if it's been resolved.

    Thanks

    nathan
